Arkeis (pronounced ark-ICE) is a Pokémon site
that focuses on Pokémon art and the games, as well as the many things
that take place in those games. Check out Pokémon
Factory, where you can find pictures of all your favorite Pokémon
drawn by me. And if you're playing the games and want some helpful tips
on them, head over to the Game Info section. You can also learn
a lot from the Mechanics section, because there are a lot of
hidden numbers in the game that have a big impact on how you play. Finally,
you can learn how to better train your Pokémon and create a better team
by reading the Battle Guides.

Guess What?
I'm finally back from China! Sorry for the wait, it turns out I didn't have a chance to update after all. Anyways, the sprite contest has been closed, but I'm allowing all entries that were posted past the due date (Oct. 23rd) since I was still in China and couldn't do anything about it. You see, the Chinese internet blocks certain popular sites like Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter. It really sucks when you want to stay connected to whatever is happening on these sites, but the entire country prevents them from working. But the results to this contest will come in the next week. Thanks to everyone who participated!
Anyways, I'm going to upload some of the drawings I meant to upload last month.
Oh by the way, it's my birthday today! :)

Special Annoucement!
This is going to be the last update I'm making.....before I go to China. Yes, in a few hours I will be on a 14 hour plane ride to Shanghai to visit my relatives. I'll be there for about three weeks...so November 11th is when I'm coming back. I'll still have internet access, but I'm not sure when I'll make my next update. Hopefully soon. But anyways, I'll upload what I have right now before I go.

Back to Kanto
I'm going to revisit the 1st generation Pokemon for the next few weeks, doing revamps and maybe some new stuff. Here's the 1st batch. Oh by the way, I've also done shiny versions of these guys as well. I'll have more done very soon. I've done quite a bit of artwork in September, but let's see if I can do even more for this month.

Birds Rebirth
Might as well revamp the legendary birds of Johto while I'm at it. They took longer than expected, but at least I got them done.
I also updated the Catch Rate and Experience pages. Nothing too major, but worth having a look.

Let's go, Johto!
Heart Gold and Soul Silver came out in Japan a couple days ago. But it will still be several months before the rest of the world gets it. :(
But anyways, I've updated the HG/SS page with information about these games. And now the legendary beasts of Johto have had their makeover.

Happy Nine Day!
I hope you had a good day on this triple digit day, especially at 9:09:09 AM and 9:09:09 PM. Anyways, last week I said I was going to have something special so here it is - Arkeis's very first sprite contest! This contest will be held on Youtube so check it out:

It's September already?!?
Wow, where did the summer go? Soon we'll be going back to school...oh wait! I don't have school anymore, haha! No more studying, no more homework, no more classes, forever!
But enough of that. Today's update gives us 5 more revamped Pokemon from the 2nd generation. I also updated the page on EVs. And you may notice something else - some ads around the site. I need these ads because I still haven't found a job and I'm losing money every month. :(
This is the one problem with graduating...you have to actually deal with the real world.
Oh, by the way, I'm having something special planned after this weekend so be sure to check it out.
